    Standard Mini Test Report : Avantium Tri-Channel DDR3 2000mhz 9-9-9-24 3x1GB Kit : :D

    I ordered this set some 2 weeks back.
    Received them 2 days ago.
    Its also my first set of Tri-Channel memory.

    Rated at 2000mhz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65v.
    I ordered it before the rating label was changed.
    Its actually 1.65v.

    My bench equipment : (Just bought a few days back)
    -i7 920 w/TR Ultima 90i
    -Intel DX58SO (The only board I could afford.)
    -Maxtor 160GB Sata
    -Corsair TX750w

    I'm still not very familar with the board's dividers.
    Sometimes it doesn't boot for me.
    So I'll stick to 2:10 for the time being.
    Set to 1.66vdimm in bios.

    8 instance 32m 1T(9-9-8 ) was a breeze.

    9-9-8 1T was good to go too.
    (At least not before my processor gets too hot.)

    Only managed 211bclk from my 920 yesterday. HT was off.
    (Till i fiddle around more with the board.)
    So I got 1056mhz @ 1.74v(bios)

    Tweaked settings alittle.
    Same 1056mhz 9-9-8-21 @ 1.74v(bios)

    For some benching, 8-8-7 1T @ 2000mhz is good too.
    1.86v(bios)

    Removing the heatspreader was a breeze too.
    Even though the thermal pad had full contact,
    they glided off the chipsets easily with a slight nudge.
    No need to worry about the chipsets ripping off.
    Replacing it was simple too.

    Maybe more manufacturers should use this instead of the sticky ones. :

    Anyway, its using Samsung HCF0 chips.

    That's about all.
    I believe they should still scale higher.
    First, I need to learn how to use my board.

    Sorry if I sound stupid.
    But I really spent a long time trying to get 21x multiplier.
    At one point in time, I even thought that leaving it idle for some time,
    I might, just might see it change to 21x.
    So i just stared at CPUz and task manager...
    i realised it wasn't going to happen...
    Only until I enabled speedstep.. (after trying out many stupid settings..)
    I finally saw 21x in windows.
    Haha.. I feel so dumb..


    In bios : Speedstep on, HT off
    Vcore 1.5v
    QPI 1.65v
    vdimm 1.78v
    (1056mhz 9-9-8-21 1T)

    But we are hitting 2000C7 @ 1,65V with the GTs and these are 3x2GB as you can see here

    And anyway Kevin, it´s nice to see that you always try to compare and catch up with your stuff (like you did on Newegg Forums before regarding the Team-Group modules) with the best out there - honouring for us

    BTW What´s your QPI/VTT voltage in XMP to hit the 2000C9?

    Bluebeard, I appreciate that your input here buddy
    as I discuss with Oskar, QPI (or you wanna call it VTT) somehow (not much)
    also depends on the motherboard,
    as my case, I just got my Rampage II extreme "rma" back from Newegg,
    my previous r2e when running 2000 8-8-8(or 999) I need 1.6v for sure, but the newer one is only 1.45v

    and this, you don't wanna say this qpi is too hight huh? you know this only about 1.48 v real

    For me, on my board, 2000mhz 9-9-8-21,
    QPI is @ 1.4~1.425v in bios.

    Anyway, yeah, 2200mhz 9-9-9-24 1T

    cpuz screens are nice - show us superpi 32M or anything testing stability

    faster latency then means higher QPI/VTT for Core i7 if I am right...

    Today's Christmas Eve,
    found some time to do some testing.

    I think my kit does 1100mhz CL8 fine.
    sub timing were very loose, but i'll try tighter.

    How much VTT do you need to hit 1000MHz with cl8?

    Btw I got my system up and running yesterday (920i, R2E, 3x2GB). I seems that the CPU can't handle a higher Uncore. I am not able to hit 2000MHz on the memory, even with a high VTT an lower/higer BLCK (143,166,200).

    What batch is your CPU?
