Standard Mini OC Report : Corsair TR3X6G1600C8 XMS3 Classic quick tests...

Its been awhile since I last posted here.
Hi everyone... hehe..
Doing a quick posting on this set of memory kit.
I bought them yesterday.
Why? Truth is, I was attracted to the heatspreaders.
I've been searching for them locally for sometime now.

I wanted to get the C7 kit but it was out of stock (...sad....)
and the store only had the dominator C7s next in line.
(It was kinda expensive and i didn't like the new dommy design)
So I settled for the C8 ones.

Rev 3.2 states @ Corsair's houseofhelp is likely to be micron chips.

1600mhz 8-8-7 @ 1.6vdimm
Spi 32m :

Keeping the voltage @ 1.65v only managed an
1800mhz 9-9-9
Spi 32m :

But it ran great without any sweet tones of blue.
8 instance 32m :
1800mhz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65v

Tried going lower latency @ 1600mhz for cl7
but they wouldn't work @ 1.65v. (required higher voltage.)
Best was 8-8-7, trrd 1... but at this speed...
It was pointless...

Next, I just wanted to test for max freq thats all.
Just to see some numbers...
Hehe...

2000mhz 9-9-9 @ 1.82v (bios)
Spi 32m :

Max validation with 2v in bios :

1125mhz 9-9-9 :
CPU-Z Validator 3.0

1110mhz 9-9-9 :
Spi 1m

Done with testing this kit for now.
Pretty decent 1600mhz rating for something under Corsair's XMS series.
Nice looking heatspreaders.

I wonder how good are the classic C7 models.
Heehee...
On to the next kit...
Arrggghhh... I need more time...

Thanks to everyone for viewing.

this is D9JNL or D9JNM ... and it likes 7-7-7 alot, why don't you try 1000 7-7-7 with 2.2v?

Hey Sam... I dont think 1.7v+ to vQPI would be wise

If these sticks are cheap, might be a good entry-level 6GB kit. Thanks Clone

never seen anyone anywhere killing any i7 with mem/qpi voltages under any circumstances

I have two clients' rigs that run Vmem 2.12 since november08 with D9GTR based mem with no signs of degradation whatsoever

so the 0.5v recommended difference between QPI and DIMM doesnt matter?

I had a similar thought that it might be jnm.
2.2... hmm... alittle high... but i'd like to see where it goes on CL7..
i'll take it slowly i guess.
Thanks Sam.

Thanks Kenny.
My D0s only like 1.6~1.62 vQPI.
If it was my C0, i'll go for 1.65~1.7. They work best for me @ that voltage.
